With record low unemployment in Fareham and thriving small and medium sized businesses throughout the area, I want to ensure that sufficient support is provided to local businesses, including less red tape, more skills and better networks and access to information.

I will work with local employers and colleges and schools to ensure that our young people have access to the right technical and vocational training and that there is increased funding for apprenticeships, building on the excellent potential at Fareham College and CEMAST.

Far too many of our teenagers travel too far for A Levels and I want to work with local schools to increase the number of sixth form A level places in Fareham.
